Chapter 7-2 Revolution of the Right Brain

Makoto Shichida (1929-2009), Ph.D. in Education, was an internationally renowned expert in right brain development. He began his work in "early childhood right brain education" in 1958 and founded the "Shichida Educational Institute" in 1978, dedicating himself to advocating, researching and promoting "right brain education". Today, over 500 schools worldwide employ the Shichida teaching method, trying to skillfully guide young children's incredible abilities. He authored several notable works, including "Super Brain Revolution", "Developing Children's Intelligence and Talents", "Makoto Shichida Prenatal Education Method", and etc.

Human consciousness has various levels, from lower-dimensional consciousness to higher-dimensional consciousness. Generally, humans live and work in a lower physical dimension. However, humans are not merely physical beings; they are also spiritual entities. Deep in the human heart there is a soul called "true self" (a life in another dimension). As long as this "true self" is awakened, it is possible to communicate with the cosmic consciousness.

The primary distinction between the human left brain and right brain lies in their functions: the left brain is conscious brain, while the right brain is sub-conscious brain. If we liken the human body to a supercomputer far superior to any sophisticated computer, it can convey external information such as light, sound and heat to the brain through the eyes, nose and skin. Three-dimensional information is transmitted to the left brain, whereas four-dimensional information is sent to the right brain. The right brain can capture all the information in the universe (also known as "mental information") that cannot be perceived consciously.

Moreover, the right brain has the ability to resonate with the vibrations of all things, converting these vibrations into images that appear before the mind's eye. This capability arises because the human body acts as a highly precise detection instrument, capable of transforming various vibrational waves into electrical energy and perceiving them (as cells are composed of proteins, which function similarly to semiconductors). Although most people's right brain sensory system remains dormant, fetuses possess such abilities, enabling them to see the faces of people speaking to them through their mother's abdomen.

The vast world invisible to the naked eye has always existed. If we can activate the right brain, we can unlock the abilities known as ESP (Extra Sensory Perception), which includes telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, and other forms of extra-sensory perception. Currently, 96% to 97% of the human brain remains undeveloped, but human evolution may have already begun. In the book "More Than Human", the author writes: "Telepathy and mind-reading are seen as extraordinary phenomena... Currently, the human left brain is exceptionally developed, but in the future, the right brain's functions will evolve, bringing the left and right brain into balance... Hidden within the human brain are dormant evolutionary functions that, with the evolution of consciousness, will give rise to humans with different levels of awareness."

Prof. Shichida has demonstrated through hundreds of real-life cases of extraordinary abilities that human evolution is accelerating in the 21st century, and many people with such "basic abilities" will emerge. The ability to realize ideals through conscious capabilities is due to the resonant function of the right brain. The human body is like an ESP receiver, continuously receiving information from the external world. However, people typically receive this information only when they are in an unconscious state, not in a conscious state. Those with extraordinary abilities can receive information even in a conscious state.

How is information transmitted? Einstein's theory of relativity clearly explains this: the formula E= mc2 reveals the equivalence between mass and energy, suggesting that mass is merely a form of energy, and matter should be considered as waves. All matter in the world, when broken down to its smallest components, consists of tiny particles invisible to the naked eye, each emitting its unique vibration. Sounds and light, minerals and plants, and the human mind all emit their unique vibrations through waves. The five senses of the right brain convert the vibrations emitted by all things through the resonant function of the right brain, allowing us to perceive them. From the deep consciousness generated by the limbic system, these vibrations can penetrate even dense solids that X-rays cannot pass through.

Unfortunately, due to the different frequencies of brainwaves, the majority of ordinary people do not possess cosmic consciousness; only infants have complete cosmic consciousness. Human brainwaves are classified into four types: β waves (above 14 Hz), α waves (8-13 Hz), θ waves (4-7 Hz), and δ waves (0.5-3.5 Hz) (see Figure 7.3).

Figure 7.3: Types of Brain Waves

The frequency of cosmic energy is 7.5Hz, approximately between α waves and θ waves. It is said that the brainwaves of a fetus in the mother's womb are also 7.5 Hz, allowing for easy resonance with cosmic consciousness. In contrast, the brainwaves of adults during their busy work, usually β waves — referred to as "tension waves", are far from the fluctuations of cosmic space. During early childhood or in a meditative state, the brainwaves can lower to 7-13 Hz, commonly known as "relaxed waves". θ waves, known as "light sleep waves", occur during the initial drowsy state when falling asleep at night, while deep sleep is characterized by δ waves of 0.5-3.5 Hz, referred to as "deep sleep waves".

People can lower their brainwaves to below 10 Hz through practices like meditation, aligning with cosmic consciousness and gaining more intuition and inspiration. This explains why many great inventions and mathematical or scientific formulas originate from dreams. Many people experience precognition, extraordinary insights, and even guidance and wisdom through dreams. The intuition of geniuses actually stems from cosmic consciousness. When a person's consciousness resonates with the cosmos, they can receive all information from the universe, manifesting as intuition, inspiration, and other creative forms. Hence, the creativity of geniuses does not rely on left-brain thinking but is acquired through direct inspiration from the right brain.

Ordinary people usually dream only during deep sleep. However, with deliberate training, some people can enter a dream state while still in a light sleep stage, with their consciousness still present. This state is actually quite similar to meditation and sitting in contemplation. Prof. Shichida introduced the "Tanden breathing method" during meditation to bring brainwaves closer to theθ-waves state. This is also commonly known as "abdominal breathing": when inhaling, try to expand the lower abdomen outward, and when exhaling, contract the lower abdomen inward, maintaining a tense state in the lower abdomen. This can relax the mind, and allow the body and mind to be integrated with the root energy of Heaven and Earth. The rising energy sinks and the downward blood rises, thereafter, you can gain a sense of unity with the universe, and unleash extraordinary abilities that cannot normally be exerted.

The book "Life in the Universe" quotes the genius physicist Stephen Hawking: "We are entering a new stage of evolution." Compared to the world of a hundred years ago, today's world can be described as entirely different in principles and methods. In the past, we lived in an old framework where people were unconnected to each other. Today, however, we are in a new era where individuals are closely related to the whole. The principles and methods have changed, similar to how records have evolved from tapes to CDs. Humanity has entered an era of cosmic consciousness beyond personal awareness. Today, the most crucial ability we need is to resonate with cosmic consciousness.

The "laws of evolution in the universe" are always at work. Living in close connection with the universe, it's more important for people to learn how to align with cosmic consciousness. We can believe that within the universe exists wisdom and consciousness that allow the cosmos to operate in an orderly manner. By maintaining unity with this cosmic consciousness, humans can unleash superhuman abilities.

Cosmic energy is the energy of love and coexistence. Whether willing or not, the transformation of human consciousness will eventually occur. Humans will no longer be egocentric but will live under the principle of coexistence, and conflicts among people will disappear. Individuals with strong love, compassion, and altruistic energy will naturally attract others with similar energy frequencies gathering around them. Such individuals will also naturally receive immense energy from the universe, filling themselves with vitality.
